A short introduction.
Thanks for checking out my site. My name is Jeff and I am a retired Army man. I started woodworking in 1998 while stationed in South Dakota in a one car garage with 2 outlets and one ceiling light. I have come a long way in my craft and accumulated a lot of tools but am no master and learn new things all the time.
Today I live in a rural town in Kentucky with my Wife and 2 children. Though they don’t share my interest they sure like the things I make and fix. I mostly build things for home and family but have made furniture for paying customers. I work full-time so most of what I make is on weekends and vacation time.
I want to expand my skills in the maker realm by incorporating metal work, CNC, carpentry, CAD and hopefully 3D printing. During my journey I want to share my experiences, successes and mistakes. I like to create a dialog with other makers and people who have interest in the mentioned areas. I will also like to comment on videos, podcast, other maker builds and products and tools I use.
I am new to blogging but I do have a Instagram account that I have posted some of the projects that I have worked on over the past year. I hope to become more active on Instagram and share what I do and start working and melding in the Maker community. Having said all that I hope you leave a comment and keep an eye out for new blog post. My goal is to post at least once a week but sometimes when I have something I want to talk about I will probably post my mind.
Thanks again for stopping by and hope to see you frequent my site as I move forward.
